“Visegrád in Short(s)” will be a major part of FILMFEST DRESDEN’s 2015 industry section “etc. – events, trainings, connections”. Talents from the four Visegrád countries – Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland – as well as Germany are welcome to join the forum to present their short films in special screenings, engage in film talks and take part in panel discussions, lectures and workshops.
A different Visegrád country will take centre stage each day with film institutions from each country presenting themselves to the participants. Moreover, the great director Jíri Menzel, well-known figure of the Czechoslovak New Wave, will give an insight into his long career and present some of his early shorts.
The forum is primarily aimed at young film professionals from the Visegrád countries as well as Germany. These include directors, producers, screenwriters, cinematographers, film students, distributors and film agents.
There is a fee of 20 € per participant for the festival accreditation that allows access to all screenings and events at FILMFEST DRESDEN. Hostel accommodation and breakfast (double room shared with another workshop participant) are provided by the festival. We offer travel grants for all non-German participants.
More information on the forum and on how to apply can be found here.
