Mini Mentoring Program
AG Animationsfilm regularly offers a mentoring program for its members. Mentors with a wide range of professional backgrounds and areas of expertise are available for short one-on-one conversations. More information about the program and the participating mentors can be found below.
Legal Advice for Members
Twice a month, members of AG Animationsfilm can take advantage of the association’s free legal advice service by telephone. Available consultation dates and conditions are announced regularly by the office.
Our specialist lawyer advises members on contract issues, employment law, artists’ social insurance (KSK), and many other topics.
Festival Submission Service
We know how complex it can be to develop and manage a successful festival strategy for a film. Our Festival Submission Service allows you to hand over this task to experienced professionals. Together, we develop a submission strategy and identify the festivals at which your film should be presented over the following 24 months.
- Option 1: Student filmmakers are supported by our long-standing member Fabian Driehorst of Fabian&Fred. Cost: €2,500 (including all submission fees)
- Option 2: Professional filmmakers are supported through a cooperation with interfilm Berlin. Cost: approximately €3,000 (including all submission fees)
Members-Only Slack Channel
Our internal Slack workspace provides a platform for members to connect, exchange knowledge and information, ask questions, and contribute to the development of the association and its advocacy work. Access to the AG Animationsfilm Slack workspace is available through the office.
Member Updates
Every month, we send a member newsletter featuring key developments and background information from the animation industry. We also provide updates on the work of the board and current AG Animationsfilm projects.
ASIFA Membership
As a member of AG Animationsfilm, you are automatically also a member of ASIFA, the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA).

Members receive discounted accreditation rates for the following events:

- Festival of Animation Berlin
- European Film Market

Members receive exclusive access to recordings of our digital discussion formats and Behind the Frame sessions (formerly AG Lunch).
